From Skeins to Stitches: My Latest Crochet Haul & Project List

If you ask any knitter or crocheter, they will tell you that yarn collecting is a secondary hobby entirely. My yarn collection is large and in charge, just the way I like it. But of course, I found myself in a dilemma of wanting to pursue projects I didn't have the correct color/weight/fiber for and it ended up putting me in a crochet funk. So I did what any sane and rational person would do, sucked it up and used the yarn in my stash...just kidding, I made an irrationally large yarn order and now I'm gonna share it with you! Keep reading to see my current crochet brain babies.
Furls Crochet

My husband gifted me the full set of Polished Gold Metal Streamline Crochet Hooks from Furls (read my review here!) but they were sold out of the full set at Christmas time so I've been slowly picking up the sizes as they come in stock. I started with the 4.00 mm, 5.00 mm, and 5.50 mm hooks. On my most recent order, I picked up three more sizes; 3.75 mm, 6.00 mm, and 6.50 mm. I hold the same views that I did at the time of my last review; beautiful, stunning and not worth the money. With that being said, I'm still going to complete my set. :-)
Premier Yarns
Premier is one of my favorite budget yarn brands. I specifically love Premier Parfait Chunky for plushies and their Bamboo Fair for lightweight wearables. The first thing I picked up was eight skeins of Bamboo Fair in the colorway "midnight". I have no plans for this specific yarn other than making myself some tops for summer. Not sure what patterns yet, but possibly the Buttercup Top from Daisy and Dime on Etsy.

The next set of yarns I snagged were from the Anti-Pilling Everyday DK line in two colorways; "linen" and "dove". These are for the Jonas Sweater from Hedvig and Ingrid for my son. The pattern is also available in adult sizes so I'm debating ordering more yarn to make my husband a matching one!
The last set of yarns I grabbed were also from the Anti-Pilling Everyday DK line in three colorways; "cream", "linen", and "blush". These I am planning on using for Baba Crochet Patterns kid's butterfly cardigan for both my daughters. This pattern was very obviously inspired by Biyabimi's Monarch Butterfly Cardigan, but Baba's is specifically sized for children vs. adults. I'm still debating making the adult size for myself, but going to see how easy it is for the girls' first.
Hobbi

Hobbi is another one of my favorite online yarn retailers. I haven't ordered from them a ton of times just due to the shipping times (they are an non-U.S based company), but every order I've received has been high quality and the exact thing I was looking for.
This whole order was all from the Hobbi Friends Cotton 8/6 line. I got them for three separate projects as well as some bulk skin tones and black and white for my stash. All in all I got thirty-five skeins of Friends 8/6; some bulk, but most are dedicated already to four particular doll patterns.
The first pattern is another one for my son, an adorable Buzz Lightyear from ilmekdenizi on Instagram and Etsy. I'm making this one up for his birthday, so I have until May to finish this one up. For this doll I am using the following colorways; "lilac", "pistachio", "beige", "white", "black", "silver", "lemon", "sapphire", "tomato", "french blue", and "sage". The second is an old man doll, simply because it kind of looks like my grandpa so he's a must make lol. The pattern is from Amigurumi Universe on Etsy and I'm using the colorways "sage", "cornflower", "silver", "beige", "cappuccino", and "antique rose". This is probably my first make from this list because I am most excited about this one. The third is a "sailor" doll, it looks like my husband so I'm making one for my kiddos. The sailor pattern is from Magic Filament on Etsy. For him, I'm using the colorways "sage", "french blue", "cappuccino", and "americano". Lastly, I am making a precious Ms. Rachel doll for my cousin's daughter's birthday. It's from Daisy Crochet Patterns on Etsy and I'm using the colorways "beige", "cornflower", "walnut", "candyfloss", and "pastel yellow".
In conclusion, I have a yarn addiction. Please don't send help, I'm perfectly happy. My husband might disagree, haha.
