Yarns I’ll Never Buy Again (and What I Use Instead)

Not all yarn is created equal—and if you’ve been crocheting for any amount of time, you probably already know that the hard way.

After working on everything from plushies to wearables (and yes, making a few regrettable yarn purchases along the way), I’ve figured out which yarns are actually worth your time—and which ones just aren’t.

In my latest video, I’m breaking down the yarns I personally won’t be buying again, from stiff acrylics to frustrating cottons that make crocheting feel harder than it needs to be. But more importantly, I’m sharing what I use instead—because finding the right yarn can completely change your experience.

Some of my go-to favorites include:

  • Premier Parfait Chunky for plushies that stay soft and hold their shape

  • Premier Anti-Pilling Everyday Acrylic as a reliable, all-purpose yarn

  • Premier Bamboo Fair for lightweight, breathable wearables

If you’re a beginner trying to figure out what to buy, or just someone who’s tired of wasting money on yarn that doesn’t work for your projects; this video will help you make better choices with confidence.

I’d also love to hear your thoughts—what’s a yarn you swear by, or one you’ll never use again?
